Spiked Mango & Strawberries with Greek Yogurt

Last night I was completing my Daring Bakers challenge and had some mango and strawberries left over. I decided to make a simple and super healthy dessert. (Check back on the 27th to see what the Daring Bakers challenge for the month of May was!)

Spiked Mango & Strawberries with Greek Yogurt

Ingredients
mango, peeled and cubed
strawberries, cut into bite-size pieces
a few splashes of Puerto Rican rum (Thanks, Anna! This is the spiked part...if you are serving this dessert to children, leave the rum out)
fat free Greek yogurt

Directions
1. In a bowl mix mango, strawberries and rum.
2. In a serving bowl layer the fruit mixture with the yogurt.
3. Serve.

Variations: You can make similar dessert with any other fruit/berries and also incorporate fresh mint. Try using vanilla yogurt or add a bit of brown sugar if your fruit is not perfectly ripe and sweet on its own.

I like this idea. I think honey could work well too. Maybe some vodka instead of rum? I'm not a big rum fan.

Mango, strawberries and greek yogurt three magic words to make a health-scrumptious dessert!! Well it depends of the quantity of rum inside hehe...;)

Cheers!

Any rum is a good thing. Great summer time dessert.

Looks delicious!! Instead of rum, I add a touch of Vanilla extract to flavor the yogurt...sometimes even a sprinkle of nuts on top :)

GREAT PHOTO!

Picked this up from FoodPhotoBlog. Great idea. I'm always looking for things to serve as dessert for my card club. The addition of rum makes this a lot more interesting.
